Q: What is the Registered Reseller Program?

A:  The Registered Reseller Program is the entry point into the Cisco SMB Channel Partner Program also allowing you to be granted partner-level access.

Q: What benefits do I receive as a Cisco Registered Partner?

A:  Registered Resellers can obtain financial rewards for selling Cisco's range of SMB products and services once enrolled on to the 'Registered Reseller Payment Program.' As a Registered Partner you may also benefit from the following tools and resources.

  • Rewards for bringing new end user opportunities to Cisco (OIP program)
  • High discounts for Demonstration products (NFR program)

Q: What is the next Partner Certification level I can progress to?

A:  The Registered reseller program also provides a viable migration path onto the Cisco Select Certification which is the entry level to the Cisco Channel Partner Program which officially recognises our partners' SMB expertise. Please visit at www.cisco.com/go/select.

Q: If I am already a Cisco Registered Reseller how do I become eligible for the benefits?

A:  If you are already a Cisco Registered Reseller, then you may enroll to the Registered Reseller Payment Program to be eligible for the benefits.

Q: I am currently not a Cisco reseller. What is required to become a Cisco Registered Reseller?

A:  Becoming a Cisco Registered Reseller is easy and just requires a few simple steps:

  1. Obtain a Cisco.com User ID (CCO ID) at: https://tools.cisco.com/RPF/register/register.do
  2. Complete the online application
  3. Review and accept the terms of the Cisco Indirect Channel Partner Agreement (ICPA)
  4. Submit the application

Q: After I have submitted my application, how long does it take to get approval?

A:  After submitting your application, notification of acceptance as a Cisco Registered Reseller will be sent in approximately 24 hours. Status as a Registered Reseller is valid for 12 months and is renewed annually.

Q: What is the process to renew the Registered Reseller Partner status?

A:  All that is required to complete the renewal is to accept the terms of the Indirect Channel Partner Agreement (ICPA). Partners will receive a notice 90 days prior to the expiration of their Registered Partner status.

Q: Are there any training courses or exams that must be completed in order to become a Cisco Registered Reseller?

A:  No. Registration as above is all that is required. However, we do encourage all of our partners to take advantage of the wide range of training and education courses available on the Cisco Partner Education Connection (PEC) and SMB University.

Q: Once I become a Cisco Registered Reseller, will I have access to Cisco products and services?

A:  Yes, Registered Resellers may purchase non-restricted products through the Cisco Authorised Distribution Channel. A complete listing and descriptions of the Cisco SMB products and services can be obtained from your local Authorised Cisco distributor.

Q: Can I also buy Cisco products without being a Registered Reseller of Cisco?

A:  Yes, non-registered Resellers are able to purchase non-restricted Cisco products through Authorised Distributors. Non-Registered Partners, however, do not have access to Partner Central, the central repository for all partner resources and tools, they do not have access to the Cisco Registered Reseller Payment Program, nor are they able to take advantage of product promotions that are offered.

Q: How long is the Registered Reseller status valid?

A:  Like all Cisco Channel Partner Programs the Registered Reseller status is valid for one year from the approval date after which you will need to renew status to ensure you continue to receive the benefits of the program.

Q: Can a Reseller be eligible to register for the Registered Reseller Payment Program if they hold any other Cisco Certification?

A:  Partners who hold any other certification or specialisation are not eligible to apply for the Registered Reseller Payment Program.

A:  It is available in; Austria, Albania, Benelux, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kosovo Territory, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and United Kingdom.

Q: If I migrate on to the Select Certification Program will I still be eligible for the benefits of the Registered Reseller Payment Program?

A:  No you will not be eligible. However, the Select Certification Program does offer added benefits via the Partner Development Fund which you will then become eligible for.

Q: How do I register for the Registered Reseller Payment Program?

Q: How many users from my Company can have access to the Registered Reseller Payment Portal?

A:  Up to five users may have access to the Portal however they will all require a CCO login & password and must have accepted the terms and conditions of the program.

Q: How do I monitor my Company's sales and payment progress?

A:  You may access your Company's progress at any time by visiting the Registered Reseller Payment Portal.

Q: How often is the sales data updated?

A:  The sales data is updated on a monthly basis.

Q: How does Cisco obtain my company's sales data?

A:  Cisco's Authorised Distributors will supply sales data for all Resellers to Cisco. This information is collected for the purpose of this program and is updated on a monthly basis for each reseller to view.

Q: How is my sales progress calculated?

A:  Participants will receive a fixed cash back payment on each product sold multiplied by the quantity sales of selected Cisco fast Track SMB product including routing, Voice, Security and Mobility products. Q: I do not agree with the payment amount that is posted, how do I go about disputing this?

A:  If you have a dispute with your payment value, our helpdesk support is available to assist you. Please provide Cisco with the following information to support your dispute:

  • Reason for your dispute
  • Registered Reseller Name
  • Country
  • Distributor used
  • Products and sales in dispute (including specific product code numbers)
  • End-user details (End user company name and address)
  • Reseller Invoice Number or Purchase Order number to Distributor
  • Date of purchase from distributor

Upon receipt of this information please allow up to 10 working days for Cisco to investigate your dispute.

Q: My performance is not displaying on the Registered Reseller Portal - what should I do?

A:  If you believe that the Registered Reseller Portal should be displaying a sales value and payment value, our helpdesk support is available to assist you. Please provide Cisco with the following information to support your dispute:

  • Registered Reseller Name
  • Country
  • Distributor used
  • Products and sales you believe should be considered (including specific product code numbers)
  • End-user details (End user company name and address)
  • Reseller Invoice Number or Purchase Order number to Distributor
  • Date of purchase from distributor

Upon receipt of this information please allow up to 10 working days for Cisco to investigate your case.

Q: How often are the payments paid?

A:  Payments will be paid on a quarterly basis.

Q: How are payments made?

A:  You will receive an e-mail from Cisco advising you of the value of your payment due at the end of the quarter this will also detail the steps to take to receive your payment?

Q: What happens if I forget to claim?

A:  You will not loose the amount accrued. The funds will remain on your account for a duration of 3 months after for you to claim after this duration if the funds are unclaimed they will expire.

Q: What is the minimum payout value per quarter?

A:  The minimum payout value is $100 calculated based on net pos of eligible products.

Q: What is the maximum payout value per quarter?

A:  The Maximum payout per quarter is $3,000 based on net pos of eligible products.

Q: Will I loose my payment if I did not accrue enough for the minimum payout value?

A:  You will not loose your accrued funds if this falls below the minimum threshold of $100. This will simply be carried over into the next quarter. If the next quarter’s payout combined with this quarter's payout exceeds $100 then a claim can be submitted. If the combined payout does not exceed $100 then the payment from the 1st quarter will be lost, and the 2nd payment will be carried over to the following quarter.

Q: I am no longer able to access the payment portal?

A:  If you experience difficulty in accessing the portal please contact helpdesk support.

Q: Are there any restrictions on how I use my payment?

A:  There are no restrictions on how you use your payment. This is not a joint funding program and as such we do not expect the reseller to fund jointly x% to receive these funds. However we would like to encourage you to re-invest this money back into marketing or sales campaigns, pre and post sales training, Cisco demo equipment or other opportunities offered by Cisco to enhance your reward and experience more of the benefits from this program in the future.

Q: How will my payment be paid?

A:  In order for you to claim your awarded payment, you must log into the Registered Reseller Portal, enter your Company's bank details in which the payment should be made, and the currency of choice and then click to submit the claim for payment. These bank details will be held securely for future quarter’s claiming to be made even more simple.

On acknowledgement of claim, all registered users within your Reseller company will receive an email which will act as a self-billing invoice for your financial records.

Your payment will be paid by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) within 30 days upon Cisco's receipt of your payment request and acknowledgement.

If no online claim is submitted no payment will be made.

Q: In what currency will my payment be paid?

A:  Your payment will be paid in your local currency of your choice at the point of claim.
